Talk is cheap, and so is a profession of faith apart from repentance. But we live in a day when people put more stock in a once-said prayer than a life reflective of a renewed heart. Taking Matthew 7:13"€"27 as his text, Paul Washer reminds us of Jesus's insistence that His way is narrow, and that its travelers will bear good fruit and rest on the solid foundation of God's Word. Neglecting these warnings from Christ have left many on the broad road to destruction. Don't think you are heading to heaven if you are not following the way of the Master.

Paul Washer
While studying at the University of Texas at Austin with the goal of becoming an oil and gas lawyer, Paul Washer experienced a life-changing event. He converted to Christianity and embraced his newfound faith. After his conversion, Washer felt a strong calling to serve as a missionary, making the bold decision to move to Peru, where he dedicated ten years of his life to spreading the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
During his time in Peru, Washer realized the importance of supporting indigenous missionaries who could effectively reach people in their own cultures. In 1988, he founded the HeartCry Missionary Society, an organization that aimed to empower and assist these missionaries in their vital work.
Eventually, Paul returned to the United States and settled in Radford, Virginia, while his passion for missions remained unwavering. Washer continued to serve as the missions director of HeartCry, overseeing the organization's efforts to spread the Gospel globally.
In 2002, Washer delivered a powerful and thought-provoking message that shook the Christian community. In this ""shocking youth message,"" he boldly challenged his audience's understanding of their faith, suggesting that many of them were deceived by a false gospel. The impact of his message was significant, as evidenced by the millions of views the YouTube video of his talk received.
Washer's dedication and strong convictions also led him to appear in the 2018 documentary American Gospel: Christ Alone. In the film, he emphasized the distinctive nature of Christianity, contrasting it with other religions that promote salvation through one's own efforts and good deeds.
Throughout his journey, Paul Washer has remained committed to spreading the message of the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ and supporting indigenous missionaries. His story is a testament to the power of God for transformation and the impact that one person can have on the lives of many.
