Au lieu de nous dire de mieux prier ou de prier plus souvent, l’auteur nous montre plutôt pourquoi la prière est essentielle et pourquoi nous devrions en profiter pleinement.
S’inspirant de la définition de Calvin selon laquelle « la prière est le principal exercice de la foi », Michael Reeves nous aide à comprendre que la prière doit être une expression naturelle de notre foi. Tout comme notre foi est éveillée lorsque nous saisissons les merveilles de l’Évangile, la prière devrait être la réponse de notre cœur à ces glorieuses vérités.
Retrouver la joie de prier est un petit ouvrage agréable à lire qui nous fait comprendre que la prière ne devrait pas être un devoir à accomplir, mais plutôt un cadeau à savourer.
