Choose Love, Not Hate
Pathway to Peace in Minneapolis - 1924, Book 7 (Pathways to the Past)
Winifred (Winnie) Kincaid and her cousin, Jesse Forester, find it difficult to believe that many of their friends accept the hateful views of the Ku Klux Klan. The Klan demonstrates a hatred for those who are Jewish. When Winnie shows kindness to a young Jewish immigrant named Divora Liberman, her classmates at school (including Winnie’s best friend, Verna) are angry.
Divora can barely speak English, her heavy accent is hard to understand, and she wears a funny scarf on her head, but the biggest strike against her is that she’s Jewish. So Divora is shunned.
Winnie wants to help Divora. But how when other kids are avoiding her?
Then the two cousins and their friends discover that someone they know is a member of the Klan—and that the Klan is devising an evil plot against Divora and her uncle.
Is there a way that Winnie and her friends can stop it?
